I am a domestic violence survivor, I am having trouble getting approved for rentals. My rental history is negative due to damages my ex abuser caused which I am unable to pay. I am no longer with the individual. I work and have stable income, my rental history before I entered that relationship was perfect. My children and I were sheltered at La? Casa and I was approved for housing but I was exited out of La Casa due to the 90 days being completed. I was not offered an extension, I became homeless and no longer qualified for the housing I was approved for because I was no longer at La Casa. I have applied to multiple agencies but they are full and have waiting lists. Can someone please offer me advice on what to do about my rental history so I can get approved and find a home for me and my children.
